Mission Statement

My first love is--and always has been--the physical life. I consider myself a student, foremost, and a teacher, second. As a student, I'm a truth seeker.

There's a lot of confusion and misinformation out there, and there are those who prey on the confused for profit. I make my living in the fitness industry, but my objective has never been anything other than a fair exchange. No one's ever accused me of being a shrewd businessman! If I won the lottery, you can bet I'd pretty much keep doing what I do ( skipping the weekly laundromat visits) and that's because I love what I do.

I've been in the Iron Game for four and a half decades, and in that time, I've made almost every mistake a person can--both in and out of the gym. More importantly, I've learned from my mistakes. It's my sincere wish to share my experience as an athlete, coach and physical culturist with those who will listen.

I do this in the spirit of helping others: I believe that by uplifting your fellows you uplift yourself. I'll be using this little corner of cyber space to discuss my ideas on fitness, training, equipment, insights, as well as answering questions that come in from the website. Please visit this space as I continue to grow, experiment and explore.

Couldn't agree with you more Steve. Every time I have ever learned from you (in person especially) it has been obvious that you love to teach people how to be better.
I am psyched to share in whatever experiences you will be posting. Onwards and upwards!

I was pretty excited to learn that you had created a blog to air your comments and opinions - your segments on the "Boys Are Back" DVD were the highlight of the set, and I learned a ton. Looking forward to your posts, Steve!
